About the Book:
It’s been 192 days, seven hours and fifteen minutes since her last drink. Now Astrid is trying to turn her life around. Having reluctantly moved back in with her mother, in a quiet seaside town away from the temptations and painful memories of her life before, Astrid is focusing on her recovery. She's going to meetings. Confessing her misdeeds. Making amends to those she's wronged. But someone knows exactly what Astrid is running from. And they won't stop until she learns that some mistakes can't be corrected. Some mistakes, you have to pay for.
What an absolutely wonderful read this was. I knew from the first chapter this was going to be a good one and I certainly wasn’t disappointed. This is a book that had me surprised at times. The novel moves quickly and I became addicted to the characters you truly become part of their world, feeling their feelings and seeing things through their eyes, especially the main character, Astrid.
I really liked the way each chapter told the story and I loved that it was easy to follow with concise chapters. It’s full of secrets and lies but you won’t be able to quite put your finger on it all until the final pages where a big twist throws the reader. I was shocked at the deception that I’d totally missed. There are times when you read a book that after a few chapters you have a fair idea what the twist is but this book threw me for a loop. This is a book which I can honestly say you won’t want to put down. Great characters and a superb story-line.
