About the Book:
Can you trust your memories? When Laura Murphy returns home ten years after the death of her childhood sweetheart Ryan Taylor, her past begins to unravel and memories she’d long pushed aside begin to surface. Having trouble reconciling truth and memory, Laura reconnects with her friend Tom to try and find closure, but Tom has issues of his own. Not only is he faced with the threat of losing his farm, but he is also hiding a secret that could change everything for them both. Will Laura and Tom find the answers they need to move forward, or will they discover that memories can’t always be trusted?

Secrets are only secrets if you keep them.
I have to say I wanted to just give up on this book for about two thirds of it. I kept thinking; why is it so boring? Maybe it's just me, as a reader, expecting something to break a bit earlier to hold my interest. I hate not finishing a book, however, so I kept reading. Sure enough close to the end, everything picked up, and there was actually reasons we were reading about all these different characters.

I can't say I highly recommend it because I just don't, but if you're in for the story just because you need something to do, then at least the ending won't disappoint you. A little romance with some mystery thrown in for somewhat of a balance. This book is just okay. I never felt fully connected or engaged with any of the characters. I wanted to, but the story never delved deep enough into any of the characters lives. Not a fantastic book, but it will do. I think 2.5 Stars is more than fair.

Thank you NetGalley and Jodi Gibson for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an impartial review; all opinions are my own.
